So, I’m over at amazon.com trying to look up stuff without actually spending money, and I notice that under my recommendations are the books The Beginning of Desire by Avivah Gottlieb Zornberg and Kosher Sex : A Recipe for Passion and Intimacy by Shmuley Boteach. Now, my obvious question would be, “what the heck did I look at or buy that actually got me those recommendations?” Turns out both are the result of my recent purchase of Judaism and Vegetarianism by Richard H. Schwartz. Now the recommendations are based on the most common other purchases by people who bought the same item as you. In other words, they’re telling me that people who bought Judaism and Vegetarianism also liked these other books.
So, the obvious question: Are Jewish Vegans just a bunch of sex-crazed freaks or what?
