A Question…

So, I got my volunteer application for Bridges for Peace today, and they made sure to point out the fact that they do not proselytize. Now, I’ve already made up my mind about this, but I ask you: Would you work for a missionary/outreach group that didn’t proselytize?

(I’ll give my answer a little later)

Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes!

Okay, let’s see what I have going on…

1) I feel an overwhelming call to volunteer with Bridges for Peace long-term. However, I have no idea how to go about getting out of my commitments and getting there, so I’m praying constantly about this. Should you be so inclined, feel free to pray about this.

2) I recently realized that I’m doing too much for myself, and not enough for others. So, to start, I’ve volunteered at the Springs Rescue Mission, and am probably going to volunteer at the Care & Share food bank. I have little in the way of specialized skills that will help me help others, but I’ll gladly do grunt work if needed.

3) I’ve been a little depressed, as I feel my life is headed down the wrong path, I’ve isolated myself from others, and see no way to turn back. Again, all I can do is pray. I refuse to wallow in self-pity, but this is where I find myself right now.

Anyway, that’s where I am. I’ll try to keep this updated.

By the way, feel free to use the TagBoard. 😉

Taking another stab at this…

Okay, I realize I’m not the most dedicated blogger, but there are changes that have come about in my life that have made me decide to get serious about this. So, here I am, ready to pick this up again. 🙂
